Back Home

Joelle and I are back from the honeymoon. For all of you who guessed Montreal, Quebec, good job! I think Mrs. Arakawa (aka Tim's mom) was one who got it. We had a great time and it went by so fast. Montreal is a beautiful city. It's like going to Europe (French-speaking) at a cheaper price and without the jet lag. We had a beautiful hotel in a nice part of town and saw a lot of great things while we were there.

Now that I'm back, I've been focused on Southwest Youth Conference. Today is the registration deadline. We are running out of space at Pine Springs Ranch as we have well over 300 registered. Interestingly enough, this was the same venue as the first GYC in December 2003, and we expect a similar atmosphere with a similar attendance this year on Mount San Jacinto. For more information you can go to http://www.swyouthconference.org/

The speakers are Peter Gregory, Stephen Bohr, Samuel Koranteng-Pipim, and Ivor Myers. These are some of the best speakers in the denomination, and we believe the Holy Spirit will be there in a powerful way. We have probably twice as many registered as we did in our first conference two years ago, and we have people from Arizona, Nevada, northern CA, Loma Linda, Los Angeles, San Diego, and all parts of southern CA, Tennessee, Idaho, Oregon etc. Our theme song this year is "Jesus Is Coming Again". We believe that God has started a grass-roots revival among the young people in an attempt to finish the work in this generation. Thus our theme: "In This Generation". It's going to be really great!

Hope to see you at SWYC!
