Living what you believe

As I was in a moment of reflection with God earlier today, the thought crossed my mind that those of us who know the truth really need to live it.

A lot of times we get caught up fighting theological error like the church of Ephesus in Revelation 2, and yet when nobody is watching, we aren't living by the faith of Jesus.

What struck home to me was that if even 70-80% of those who have pure theological truth on all the issues would actually live what they believe instead of worrying about what others believe, we could finish the work soon. Just remember COL 69 "When the character of Christ shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, then He will come to claim them as His own." Throw out all the SDAs who live and teach error for that quote. Apply that quote only to those who know the truth completely. It's evidence to me that those who know the truth aren't living it.

Don't get me wrong, we need to stand for doctrinal purity, but standing for doctrinal purity will have its greatest power when we are living by the faith of Jesus. We often make things worse because we aren't living what we preach.
