What are you waiting for?
I really have this urgency in my mind that Jesus is coming very soon. Why is it that many of us as Seventh-day Adventists are living our lives in such a way that we are planning on being here for a long time? We think more about career plans than we do about doing God's work. We think more about what kind of house we want to live in on earth than the kind of mansion we want to have in heaven. We can recite lines from our favorite TV shows or movies, but we couldn't recite the 3 angels messages of Rev. 14 by memory if our lives depended on it. We could tell you of the statistics of our favorite sports teams, but we couldn't explain the pillars of our faith. We care more about dressing and looking like the world than we do about what kind of garments Christ will give us in Heaven and what He wants us to wear now. Friends, we need to re-order our lives.
I liked what Pr. Skeete said at GYC when he said that when God sent Jesus to this earth, He didn't have a backup plan. Too many of us have backup plans. How many more GYCs do we need to help prepare us for the soon return of Jesus? How many more good sermons do we need to hear before we start allowing God to change our lives?
May you prayerfully consider how God would have you change your life to live in accordance with His will so that Jesus can come soon. What are you waiting for??

Very convicting post that was urgently needed.
Since Jesus is coming soon, how does that affect your career plans?
Hey norman, thanks for the reminder,... I have felt this same urgency since GYC and God is using it to tighten up the ranks at my church.. praise God.
